Meet the Judges/Coaches

Meet our Judges/Coaches for The Voice of the San Juans 2017.

Susan Walton is a performing singer/songwriter with contest wins in the California State Long Beach University’s Guitar and Banjo Contest and in the panel judged the 1st Montrose Troubadour Contest.  She went on to organize and host the 2nd and 3rd Montrose Troubadour Contests. She placed 3rd in a Montrose Classic County Showdown competition. She has received formal vocal training from private instructors as well as in college, where she minored in music while achieving a Masters degree in Physical Therapy.  She has experience in the recording studio, where she produced a CD of 13 original songs. She enjoys music from just about all genres. She performs solo and with a full band in a variety of venues from Honkytonks to festival stages.  She is the founder of the Indie/Folk Rock band SMOLDER that currently performs many of Walton’s original tunes.

Hailing from the little town of Cave Creek, AZ, and currently residing in Olathe, CO, Jennifer Koch has traveled all over the country sharing her voice performing in several touring bands including her own co-headed project “Kit Shicker.” Jenny blends Country and Rock in every performance with her unique voice and loves taking her audiences on a musical journey. Her talent has led her to acquire endorsements with Guitarmoose and Samson.

DrMaryKleinsorge3“Dr. Mary” Kleinsorge began her musical career at age 12 as a singer/songwriter/musician and is accomplished on multiple instruments and has a multi-octave singing range. She won national awards at age 13 in a contest similar to America’s Got Talent. She traveled a 10 state area and was introduced to Nashville by Sonny James.  After more than 10 years of working on the road, she decided to change career directions and studied to be a chiropractor.  Her chiropractic practice is between Olathe and Delta. Her passion for music has prevailed and she continues to perform, win awards for songwriting and gives back to her community with her song.
